Cuisine American
- 2 oz vodka
- 1 oz coffee liqueur
- 1 oz freshly brewed espresso cooled
- 1/2 oz simple syrup optional, to taste
- Ice
- 3 coffee beans
Brew a shot of espresso and let it cool slightly.
Add the vodka, coffee liqueur, cooled espresso, and simple syrup, if using, to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Shake hard for 10 to 15 seconds until the shaker feels very cold.
Strain the drink into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with 3 coffee beans and serve right away.
Use fresh espresso for the best flavor and foam.
If you like a sweeter cocktail, add a little more simple syrup.
For a less sweet version, skip the syrup and let the coffee liqueur do the work.
Chill your martini glass ahead of time for a more polished presentation.
